Alice in Wonderland, Occult, and the Quantum World
Is Alice in Wonderland about the Quantum world?
The Matrix movie franchise heavily references Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland." The "red pill/blue pill" choice, the instruction to "follow the white rabbit," and the theme of exploring a simulated reality just like Alice’s descent down the rabbit hole and the subsequent surreal experiences. Way the Matrix trying to tell us something? Did they hint us to look into Lewis Carroll’s work? Does the Alice series lead to the truth behind what Disclosure is about? Entering the 4th dimension? Ascension?
The 4th floor in the S-4 facility near Area 51 is called the Alice floor. Whistleblowers who have worked in the facility say, there’s a white rabbit hung above a room.
Why does CERN have a project called ALICE (A Large Ion Collider Experiment)?
Both ALICE and White Rabbit are part of CERN, White Rabbit is a broader technology development effort focusing on a deterministic Ethernet-based network for control and timing applications. ALICE is a specific physics experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) dedicated to studying heavy-ion collisions and the physics of strongly interacting matter.
So let’s go down the rabbit hole.
Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson)
Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, known by his pen name Lewis Carroll, was an English author, poet, mathematician, photographer. His most notable works are Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and its sequel Through the Looking-Glass.
Orphic Circle
The Orphic Circle is a secretive London based occult group, which practiced clairvoyance with crystals and magic mirrors. The Circle had young girls (aged 9–14) as “clairvoyants and somnambulists”.
Emma Britten’s writings (Spiritualist, Occultist), in Hypotheses on the Orphic Circle describes her involvement in the 1830s and 1840s with the Orphic Circle. where she and other young people served as “somnambulists” (clairvoyants or mesmeric subjects) under mesmerism (a precursor to hypnotism). Emma Britten alleges that Lewis Carroll and many people of noble ranks were a part of The Orphic Circle.
The Orphic Circle is presented as a mystery school that trained young psychics like Britten. Britten’s psychic abilities, developed from age 9, and her Orphic Circle involvement (ages 9–14) align with Alice’s age (seven and a half) and initiatory journey. Her trance work mirrors Alice’s dream-like adventures in Wonderland and the looking-glass world. Alice’s story is fundamentally based on Emma Britten’s archetype character. The group, allegedly composed of mostly persons of noble rank, literary figures like Lewis Carroll, who practiced occult techniques like crystal scrying and was highly secretive. Dark Journalist discusses this in detail here.

"Orphic" reference is likely connected to the ancient Greek philosopher and mystic Orpheus, who was believed to have access to the underworld. Orpheus was a mortal (some legends say demigod).
Orphism is an ancient Greek religious movement that revolved around the teachings attributed to Orpheus, a legendary musician and poet who, according to myth, ventured into the Underworld and returned. The Orphic Circle, named after these traditions, focuses on the mysteries of death, immortality, and the afterlife. Their primary goal has been to rediscover the sacred Mysteries of the Underworld that Orpheus is said to have brought back from Hades. (Just thought about Matrix, M“orpheus” is the captain of the Nebuchadnezzar, a hovercraft that belongs to the human resistance in the last human city, Zion, which is located “underground”. I should add that Morpheus is the Greek and Roman god of dreams and sleep)
In modern culture, particularly within the gaming and fiction genres like the "World of Darkness" series, the Orphic Circle is depicted as a secretive group with knowledge of the Underworld's mysteries.
Myths and their impact on psyche
Why would Lewis Carroll write children’s novels?
Gigi Young articulates it best in the video below. Myths work in our consciousness, stories/myths are a vehicle of initiation. Certain myths awaken our psychic abilities and cause a connectivity. We tap into such consciousness when we hear stories. Much of the teaching was conveyed through myths, allegories, symbols, and rituals. These were meant to convey deep truths about human existence, the cosmos, and spiritual ascension in ways that were both protective of the mysteries and resonant with the initiates.
Is Alice in Wonderland about the Quantum World?
His imaginative and playful approach to logic and space in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass has led some scholars to draw parallels with quantum and multidimensional thinking.
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland:
https://thedebrief.org/researchers-studying-the-quantum-realm-observe-alice-in-wonderland-style-mirror-universe-for-first-time/ Linear time breaks down in Wonderland, time doesn't move forward. It loops, stalls, and behaves illogically. Mad Hatter’s tea party, where time is described as having "quarreled" with the Hatter, resulting in a perpetual 6 o’clock tea-time. This suggests a frozen or cyclical notion of time, defying its usual linear progression. The Hatter’s remark, “It’s always tea-time.”
Wonderland seems to obey observer-dependent rules. Time functions differently based on one’s relationship with it. The Hatter says, “If you only kept on good terms with Time, he’d do almost anything you liked…”
The White Rabbit’s obsession with his pocket watch and being “late”. The White Rabbit is a central symbol, linked to Rosicrucian rituals and the "Three Hares" motif, which some believe can represent alternate realities, wormhole or portals(more below).
Through the Looking-Glass:
Time is further explored through surreal and paradoxical lenses. The Red Queen’s race, where Alice must run to stay in place.
Retrocausality: The White Queen famously says“It’s a poor sort of memory that only works backwards.” She remembers things before they happen, a form of retrocausality, (a concept where a later event can influence an earlier one) a real (though controversial) concept in quantum interpretations like the Transactional Interpretation (Cramer), where waves go forward and backward in time.
Entanglement: The characters, Tweedledum and Tweedledee behave as if they’re a single state split in two, they reflect or invert each other, much like entangled particles.
Important Notes from the video with the help of Grok AI:
Through the Looking-Glass is set seven and a half years after Alice in Wonderland, yet Alice remains the same age, suggesting a "fourth-dimensional timelessness" or a mirror realm.
Gigi explains that the mirror in Through the Looking-Glass represents the astral or psychic realm, often called the "mirror realm" in esoteric traditions. In this realm, everything internal (thoughts, feelings) is reflected symbolically, and change requires internal transformation rather than external action. (This is later relevant when I get into Project Looking Glass for my next article) Example: Alice’s inability to move forward despite running mirrors astral projection experiences, where navigation requires internal shifts.
The story is framed as a "psychic awakening mythos," guiding readers into a psychic state through multidimensional writing. The mirror acts as an initiation tool, reminding readers of their psychic potential.
The Dark Journalist connects the mirror to historical scrying practices, referencing John Dee’s obsidian scrying mirror (stolen by Cortés from the Aztecs, now in the British Museum). Obsidian, a volcanic stone, is linked to the "unknown” or “unmanifested,” paralleling Atlantean "two-eye stones" and volcanic creation processes.
Why a Young Girl?: Gigi suggests Carroll chose a young girl as the protagonist to emphasize the power of imagination and intuition, qualities often associated with the feminine psyche. The story serves as a way to preserve these qualities in young girls during a materialist age, akin to Rudolf Steiner’s efforts to safeguard spiritual knowledge.
Humpty Dumpty, a fertility symbol not original to Carroll’s canon, appears prominently (featured on the book’s cover). His dialogue with Alice about language and mastery (“When I use a word, it means just what I choose it to mean… the question is which is to be master”) suggests he represents the “dweller at the threshold,” challenging Alice to master her words and intentions. Gigi interprets this as a lesson in “spelling” (creating spells through language).
Steganography in Carroll’s Name: The Dark Journalist cites that Dodgson’s pen name, Lewis Carroll, has an playful esoteric quality to it. To create it, he took his full name, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, and transformed it through a clever process. First, he Latinized his first and middle names: Charles became Carolus, and Lutwidge became Ludovicus. Then, translating them back to English, he simplified Carolus to Carroll and Ludovicus to Lewis. Finally, he reversed the order of these names, thus the alias Lewis Carroll. He might have constructed the alias Lewis Carroll through a mirror as the right and left positions.
Stargates: They are multidimensional gateways that connect different realms, densities levels, or points in time and space. “Stargate” or multidimensional portal, aligns with Alice’s rabbit hole and looking-glass motifs. Gigi interprets the White Rabbit’s lateness as a prompt to contemplate the fourth dimension, where time is malleable, encouraging reflection on psychic ability and higher self.
At timestamp 1:42:05, Gigi suggests stargates can also be within us to channel. This is interesting as David Wilcock who has spoken about Looking glass device on Project camelot (timestamp 46:00), alleges the device might be the pineal gland reverse engineered. Whoever approaches the device, it couples with their mind,it enhances their abilities, where you wanna go and what you wanna see.
Gigi talks about a societal split between synthetic (AI-driven, urban) and organic (homesteading, Waldorf-inspired) lifestyles. Organic paths preserve Stargate access by fostering intuition and spiritual practices, countering Ahrimanic synthetic Stargates.
Connection to the Three Hairs and Portals: Gigi Young links the White Rabbit to the “three hares” symbol, a Rosicrucian motif interpreted as a wormhole or stargate.
